The pups are 12 days old today and have reached two milestones !! They opened their eyes and they started walking. It is so incredible to watch them change like this, one minute they are crawling around, eyes closed, frustrated and blind and the next their eyes are open and they are walking around like little dogs. Amazing the difference in the way they look with their eyes open, no longer quite so helpless in their appearance.

All the pups look great, including the smaller ones. Taz (green), Bugs(red) and Boo Boo (no collar) are growing bigger everyday. They are half the size of the bigger pups but they are holding their own and are strong and full of it so I know they will be fine.

Tess is eating and eating and eating but she is still quite thin. She is up to 3lbs of food per day and is holding her own. I just got a shipment of green tripe which she loves. Green tripe is the stomach contents of cows, sheep and goats and it stinks like nobody's business but my girl loves it and it's good for her so I deal with it.

She is digging in the yard again today. I fooled her for two days with strategically placed pallets but she knocked them down today and showed everyone else where her fabulous hole to China is. The rest of the pack agreed that it's an excellent hole to dig in and get completely filthy. I'm working on blocking it again but it's 6 against one so I'm not likely to out fox them for long. I think the bunnies are back having their babies in our yard again so there may be a good reason for the digging.

Got a few more puppy applications this week and will start interviewing this coming week and later schedule puppy visits. The applications I've got so far look really good. Looking forward to meeting some of my prospective new puppy families......
